A portion of the Commissioners Proceedings in last week’s paper was unintentially left out. Here are the remaining Minutes for Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
1:15PM SALARY DISCUSSION CONTINUED
Present: Brenda Wood, Clerk and Recorder; Debbie Wyrick, Deputy Clerk and Recorder; Julie Straub, Human Resource Manager
The Commission and all present discussed giving a 25¢ raise as proposed by Commissioner Randash. The Commission said they would like to wait until they can discuss this with Commissioner Ranum before making a final decision. Julie asked the Commission to also consider the Rifle Range Manager’s wage and if step increases will be implemented for the position.
2:30PM B & B FARMS DISCUSSION; BNSF FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
Present: Mary Grube, Planner Administrative Assistant
B & B FARMS CERTIFICATE OF SURVEY- Mary Grube submitted a Certificate of Survey for a Boundary Line Relocation within the SW 1⁄4 of Section 27, T6N, R57E applied for by B & B Farms. The Commission reviewed and signed the Certificate of Survey.
BNSF FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT- Mary gave the Commission a staff report for the BNSF Floodplain Development Permit to replace a BNSF Bridge on Haar’s property which is in the NW 1⁄4 SW1/4 Section 11, Township 7 N, R59E to review. The Commission reviewed and signed the Permit.
3:00PM OLLIE ROAD ABANDONMENT HEARING
Present: Bev Burghduff, Ollie landowner; Lee Ann Loucks, American Bank Center Mortgage Banking Officer; Scott Veroye, Ollie landowner; Fred Hoff, member of the public
Commissioner Baldwin called the hearing to order at 3:00PM and read Resolution 2016-11 Calling for the Public Hearing to Receive Public Input on Whether or Not the Board of Commissioners Should Abandon Petitioned Roads and an Alleyway in the Town of Ollie aloud. After some discussion, those present did not object to the roads or alley way being abandoned. The Commission made and approved the motion to abandon the roads and alleyway described in Resolution 2016-11.
3:10PM- Bill Bagley, member of the public, joined the meeting.
Commissioner Baldwin asked Bill Bagley if he had any comments he wanted to make about the abandonment and Bill said no.
The Commission adopted and signed Resolution No. 2016-14 to abandon petitioned roads and an alleyway in the Town of Ollie. The Resolution is filed in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
3:30PM- The Commission called Commissioner Ranum to discuss the 25¢ raise Commissioner Randash had suggested during the Salary Discussion.
Commissioner Baldwin asked Commissioner Ranum if she would support giving the elected officials a 25¢ raise, the deputies a 23¢ raise (90% of elected officials raise) and employees a 22¢ raise (85% of elected officials raise). Commissioner Ranum said she would support this. The Commission made and approved the motion to give the raises as presented.
4:00PM COUNTY ATTORNEY UPDATES
Darcy Wassmann, County Attorney, was unable to attend the meeting due to being in Court therefore it was canceled.
