Kruger promoted to highest academic rank

David Kruger   At their May 2016 meeting in Laramie, the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees approved the promotion of nine UW faculty members to their highest respective ranks of (full) clinical professor, (full) librarian, and (full) professor. Each of these academic promotions comes with formal recognition and a subsequent increase in salary, effective July 1, 2016.

   David Kruger’s promotion to full librarian marks just the third time a UW faculty member has ever attained that particular rank. In accordance with UW tenure and promotion procedures, Kruger’s academic record and scholarly publications were evaluated and endorsed by his UW faculty peers as well as select university faculty across the United States. His recommendation for promotion was unanimous at every university level.

   Born and raised in Baker, David Kruger graduated from Baker High School in 1986 and holds graduate degrees from Kansas State University and the University of Missouri. A member of the University of Wyoming faculty since 1998, he is currently serving as Agricultural Liaison Librarian for Research and Instruction.
