Fire Department calls

   January 16 – Baker’s Rural Fire Dept. responded to a call for mutual aid to a barn fire in Marmarth, ND. Enroute, firefighters were notified that things were under control and they turned around and went back to the station.    

   January 17 – The Rural Fire Department was called for a mutual aid assist from the Plevna Fire Department. A barn, which was engulfed in flames south of Plevna, was deemed a total loss.

   January 25 – The Rural Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle rollover south of Baker at mile marker 13 on Highway 7. The single occupant was extracted with the “jaws of life” and transported by ambulance to Fallon Medical Complex.

   January 28 – The Rural Fire Department responded to a truck fire at a locale north of Baker. The fire that was electrical in nature was extinguished.
