Fallon County Library News

One of the new series available at your Fallon County Library is the ability for our patrons to now checkout Kindle Fires or CD players.

Submitted by Library Director Stacey Moore

If you choose to use one of the new Kindle Fires, we will help you download books from the Montana Library 2 Go. Patrons will be able to use the Kindle for a 14 day period, same with the books. When using the Montana Library 2 Go, you will have a choice of either audio or ebooks. The other choice is a CD player to check out along with audio books from our selection here at the library. These services were implemented especially for our elderly patrons and those with either sight or hearing difficulties. Our policy states these devices are to be lent only to patrons in good standing.

If you are unable to make the jaunt to the library, please let us know and we would be happy to deliver any of these services listed or even bring a book to you!

We also have new books arriving weekly. Come in and check out our diverse collection.

In February we will be replacing the carpeting during the weekend of the 13th. If everything goes as planned, we will be up and running Tuesday, February 16, following the President’s Day holiday. Some services may be disrupted during that week, but we will do everything to accommodate our patrons.

Don’t forget Storytime on Thursdays. This is a free service for everyone. Bring your little ones, listen to the stories, and then enjoy the rest of the time as we do a fun and creative craft.

Not sure of what you can get at the library, check out our website at falloncountylibrary.net, click on the links and find out about your local library. If you can’t find it there, look at the Montana State Library page and you can find all kinds of information about our great state at home.msl.mt.gov/.
