Lady Spartan basketball

   January 8, the Lady Spartans hosted the Forsyth Dogies for a tough fought game. In the first and second quarter, the Dogies outscored the Ladies 34-23.

   After halftime, the Dogies again outscored the girls 11-9. In the fourth quarter, the Lady Spartans finally outscored the Dogies 16-11, but still came up short at the end, losing 48-56.

   Madison Reddick had 4 rebounds, 16 points, 1 assist, 1 steal; Morgan Miller 7 rebounds, 10 points, 1 assist, 1 block; Cheyenne Perry 2 rebounds, 2 points, 1 steal; Scotti Robinson 6 rebounds, 8 points, 1 assist; Melissa Breitbach 2 rebounds, 3 points, 2 assists, 2 steals; Alivia Schultz 1 steal; Elisa Hautala 3 rebounds, 3 points, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal; Taylyn Koenig 7 rebounds, 6 points, 1 steal.

   The Lady Spartans traveled to Wolf Point to face the undefeated Lady Wolves January 9. They played a tough game, but things just did not go in the Spartans’ favor that night. The Lady Wolves outscored the Spartans in the first quarter 4-18. In the second quarter, it was close with shooting, but the Lady Spartans outscored the Wolves 13-12.

   Coming out of halftime and ending the third quarter, the Lady Wolves led the Spartans 11-7. To finish out the fourth quarter, the Spartans outscored the Wolves 18-15, still coming up short and losing 42-56.

   Madison Reddick had 5 rebounds, 20 points, 2 assists, 1 steal; Morgan Miller 12 rebounds, 4 points, 2 steals; Cheyenne Perry 2 rebounds, 1 point, 1 assist, 1 steal; Amber Durden 2 rebounds, 2 points; Melissa Breitbach 3 rebounds, 1 steal; Alivia Schultz 3 points; Elisa Hautala 8 rebounds, 12 points, 1 block, 1 steal.
