Indoor Rifle and Archery Range awarded NRA Grants

   The National Rifle Association (NRA) of Montana and the NRA of North Dakota have awarded two separate grants toward the new indoor archery and shooting range located three miles west of Baker.

   The NRA of Montana grant is for $3,498.19 to be used for classroom supplies and equipment to support firearms education. The grant awarded by NRA of North Dakota is for $1,690.07 to be used toward the development of the indoor archery range.

   The late Debi Kirschten was the grant writer. Kirschten, one of six members of the founding board, had worked diligently since 2005 to make an indoor shooting range a reality for Baker.
