Dave left this life Nov. 21, 2015 at his home in Baker.
David was born July 17, 1953 in Elk City, Okla., to Louis and Mary Nell (St. Clair) Hutchings. He, his parents and two brothers moved to Baker in 1955 where he grew up and lived most of his life. Dave graduated from Baker High School in 1971. He enjoyed all sports, especially basketball and football. He enjoyed playing football in high school. After high school, he attended Western Montana College in Dillon for one year and later attended Miles Community College. Dave worked at several jobs in Baker until going to work for Western Drilling in Baker. He worked for Poole Oilfield Service and then Nabors Well Service. Dave retired in March 2015.
Hutch enjoyed cooking, playing with his nieces and nephews and golfing. He could often be found on the golf course teaching kids his techniques. Dave played in almost every golf tournament around the area. David’s considerate, generous nature and great sense of humor endeared him to all of his many friends and his family.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Nell Hutchings of Tahlequah, Okla.; brothers Earl Ray Hutchings (Rhonda) of Tahlequah, Okla., and Dennis Lee Hutchings (Kathy) of Miles City; nieces and nephews, Mary (Randy) Blevins, Brandy Hutchings, Jennifer (Michael) Reed, JR Hutchings, Will Hutchings, and Robert (Ashley) Hutchings; three great-nephews; one great-niece; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Ray Hutchings, in 2010.
