Legal Tip of the Week

   Did you know …

there are ways to keep your address confidential from your abuser if you are a survivor of relationship abuse, sexual abuse, or stalking? You can ask the Court to keep your address confidential when you apply for an Order of Protection. You can also apply for the State of Montana Department of Justice Address Confidentiality Program. That program can help protect your home address by giving you a substitute mailing address.

For more information, please visit the State of Montana Department of Justice website pages or look under the Relationship Abuse, Sexual Abuse, and Stalking section of www.MontanaLawHelp.org. If you can’t find the information you want, click on the MontanaLawHelp.org LiveHelp button or call the Montana Legal Services Association HelpLine at 1-800-666-6899.
