Stan Wagner, 16-year-old Baker teen, died in an August 7 single-vehicle rollover on Powderville Road near Ekalaka.
According to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, the teen and his 16-year-old passenger were heading west down the gravel road when his pickup went off the road and into a ditch.
He attempted to correct the truck and get it back on the road which caused it to go into a broadside slide and rolling once.
Wagner was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. He died at the scene from his injuries.
His passenger was wearing a seat belt. She sustained minor injuries and was able to make a phone call for help.
Speed and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the crash.
Stan is the son of Jake and Wendy Wagner of Baker.
