4-H youth prepare for the fair

Youth gathered in the livestock barn on the Fallon County Fairgrounds to learn and practice showing their animals. This Showmanship Clinic was held July 22, which will give the youth four weeks to practice bathing, walking and handling their animals. The evening began with Olivia Gunderson leading the Cat Showmanship followed by Terrell Koenig leading Rabbit Showmanship. Shaylyn Huelle led the Sheep Showmanship portion with her brother, Chase Huelle, leading Goat Showmanship. Horse and Beef Showmanship were led by Lauren Wang, with Dairy Cow being led by Taylyn Koenig and Katie Wang.

All participants learned valuable tips to help them prepare their animals for showing at the fair.
