Students raise money for Heart Association

Just over 40 students from the Longfellow School raised more than $5,000 for the American Heart Association.

Students from Longfellow School

After collecting their donations, they got together and exercised non-stop for two hours by either jumping
rope or playing basketball. All of the kids were active the entire time. Every donation made from the community and beyond makes a huge difference to the AHA. All contributions are appreciated and the time and effort the students put into this project are also. Several students raised well over $100, but two students, Ashlyn Lutts and Walker Hadley, raised $500 each to go toward the AHA cause.
