Welcome Robins

Hi little birdie skipping

With your breast of red.

Do you really hear some

crawling

When you cock your little

head?

And then you snatch so

quickly

As if to gobble grass

But I suppose you found a

worm

Whose ending came to pass.

You brighten up the lawn for

me

It looks so dull and tan.

But with your skitting and

your picking

There seems to be a plan.

So little robin on my lawn

You are welcome here.

Is that your mate who’s come

to join you?

‘Cause he also cocks an ear.
