Fallon County Library events

What a fun time for everyone at our Thursday morning Story Time – listening to stories, doing an Easter craft, and hunting for the Easter buckets filled with goodies hidden in the library.

Easter at Library

By Stacey Moore, Library Director

Story Time is held every Thursday morning at 11:15. Children of all ages are welcome. There is no need to register before attending. National Library Week is April 12-18. Stop by the library for some refreshments and put your name in the drawings. Wednesday is “Meet the New Director Day”. Come and meet Stacey Moore. She is anxious to meet and get acquainted with our patrons.

Summer Reading registration day is June 3. We will be having summer reading twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 9 – 25 at 1:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Every Hero has a Story”. Children of all ages are welcome to join in the fun.

If you are a shut-in and you know of a good book or your eyesight is failing, we have audiobooks for you to listen to. Fallon County Library can deliver and pick them up for you. All you have to do is call the library at 778-7160, and we will be happy to do that for you.

For school aged children, we are currently marking the Accelerated Reader books, both fiction and non-fiction. This will make it easier for the child and parent to look for the appropriate reading level and the points for every book.
