Join us for a series of workshops from January to June that have been put together to enhance our local homemaker clubs in Fallon and Carter Counties and provide useful information to the residents of eastern Montana. We will be covering a different topic each month. You can participate in each workshop individually or join us for all of them. Most of the workshops will be free of charge, but some will have a small fee to help cover some of the cost.

Women of all ages are invited to join us for these workshops. We encourage women to bring a mother, daughter, or friend.

Topics to be covered: Living on a Budget (January), Baking Basics (February), Knitting for Beginners (March), Nutrition and Meal Planning on a  Budget (April), and Mother-Daughter Chocolate Making (May), and Cooking and Grilling Meats (June). For more information, contact your Fallon/Carter County Extension Office, 406-778-7110.

February 9: Baking Basics

This workshop will cover the basic science of baking both with yeast and other leavening. You will gain an understanding of different flours and what works for what; and there will be fresh baked goods to enjoy. This workshop will be held at the Baker Senior Citizen Center from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
