It was while attending country school that he met Gracie Fike.  They were married on May 27, 1952 and to this union five children were born: Jesse, Bill, Sheila, Steve and Douglas.

Bob loved to fish and camp with family and friends.  He loved to dance to country music and had fond memories of barn dances when he was young.  He was a member of and attended the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lemmon where Bob and Gracie recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Bob went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND.  He was 82 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie, Lemmon, SD; son, Jesse (Jan) Schell, Las Vegas, NV, son, Bill (Sheryl) Schell, Cottonwood, AZ, daughter, Sheila, Commerce City, CO, son, Steve (Cheryl) Schell, Lemmon, SD, and son, Douglas (Traci) Schell, Miles City, MT; 12 grandchildren, Jesse Jr., Jeremy, Jason, Jennifer, Emily, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Tasha, Allen, Tara Jo, Matthew and Mariah; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special boy, Chance Ellison; many nieces and nephews; brothers, Johnny (Maralyn) and Benny Schell; and two sisters, Viola Olson and Margaret Coddington.
