The Baker FFA Chapter held their annual banquet in the high school complex lobby May 6, 2014. They recapped all the events that were held during the year. Pictures and memories were shared as they waved off their seniors and welcomed in all the new officers and members. There were 24 members and 36 guests who attended the banquet. Guest speaker was Dale Hande, who was funny, but behind every joke there was a life lesson hidden within. Baker FFA invited two of the new Montana State FFA officers, Allie Nelson and Calli Dixon, to join in their banquet.
Everyone enjoyed a great meal of spaghetti, salads and desserts prepared by Norma Losing, Julie Post, and the parents of the members. During the dinner, they watched a slide show of the year and read from the herd book. The herd book is composed of funny and embarrassing moments that happened throughout the year that was reported by FFA members. Towards the end of the banquet, the outgoing officers proudly handed over their positions. Shaylyn Huelle took over Kalli Post’s position as president, Wyatt Perry took over Caden Dukart’s positions as vice president, Megan Greiff took over Shaylyn Huelle’s position as secretary, Tristan Stark took over Wyatt Perry’s position as treasurer, Chase Huelle took over Cody Perry’s position as sentinel, and Cheyenne Perry took over Tori Nelson’s position as reporter.
After the banquet, FFA members had a dummy roping contest in the church parking lot.
