I believe spring will be here after a tedious six months of winter. It is time to think about spring clean-up. Baker Clean-Up Days start Saturday, May 10, and run through Sunday, May 18. Containers will be available for public use near the City Shop at the west end of Milwaukee Avenue. The City Public Works Department will assist those who are physically unable to haul their items during the city working days. These items must be left on the street and avenue curbs. Do not leave refuse in the alleys.

Residents are encouraged to trim tree branches near the streets and alleys and dispose at the designated site near the City Shop. If you choose to haul items to the Fallon County container site, it is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Disposal is free to all county residents and located on Coral Creek Road southeast of Baker.

If any resident, group of residents or service organization would like to assist with Clean-Up, please contact the City at 406-778-2713 or 406-778-2692. Thank you for your assistance with clean-up week.

s/Clayton Hornung, Mayor
