Prom 2014 was a little different this year as there were no juniors to plan and set it up. However, Mrs. O’Connor and Mr. Mangold got together and organized a prom committee to plan and set up this year’s prom. The committee was compiled of some sophomores and a senior, and they decided to save some money by using leftover decorations from past proms. They came up with the theme “Sparkle and Shine”. Ten couples attended this year, and although there were fewer people than previous years, everyone came together and danced the night away. Because of such a small number of seniors this year, the senior class decided not to crown a prom king and queen, so the sophomore class honored them instead by presenting each of them with flowers.
The after prom party was once again held at the bowling alley from 12:30 – 2:30 a.m. After the prom, everyone headed to the bowling alley for bowling, pizza, pop, and some great prizes. Some of this year’s prizes were gift certificates, money, a TV, a blu-ray and DVD player, office chair, and much more.
