The Baker speech and drama team traveled to Hardin Dec. 7 after the meet in Huntley Project was cancelled. The team did exceptionally well, competing against Class A schools in every event. Both the speech team and the drama team brought home first place team trophies.

Drama competitors Olivia Mahon and Brianna Rambur finished in first place in serious duo; Jase Rost and Dusty Davis earned first in humorous duo; and Darby Bettenhausen and Isaac Rost finished second.

In speech, Caden Dukart brought home the championship in LD Debate; Jaden Miller placed fifth in original oratory; Makenzy Shipstead finished third in memorized public address; Anna Espeland brought home sixth place in humorous oral interpretation; and Jacob Weimer finished fourth in expository. Buddy Shaw, Savannah Davis and Moriah Kesinger also competed, but unfortunately did not break to finals.

The team travels to Billings Central this next weekend for their last meet before Christmas break.
