Class of 2016 wins Food Drive

The BHS Student Council sponsored its annual Food Drive last week and students in grades 7-12 brought in 2,641 items for the Fallon County Community Cupboard.

The BHS Student Council sponsored its annual Food Drive last week and students in grades 7-12 brought in 2,641 items for the Fallon County Community Cupboard.

The sophomore class won with 1,626 items and they earned the right to miss first period on one designated day of school. The eighth grade class took second with 334 items, the seniors had 218 items, seventh grade – 815 items, juniors – 145, and freshman – 133.

Monetary donations were also given by some, and this money goes to help purchase food and other products which are always needed for the Community Cupboard. Total money collected by all the classes was $462. Students went door-to-door all week in order to bring food and other necessary products to fill up the Cupboard.
