Baker hosted the Colstrip Colts Oct. 25 to clinch the district title and to host the first playoff game. With an immense amount of hard work and dedication, they came out on top, 20-12.
Baker was the only team to score during the first and second quarter. Seth Barkley ran 16 yards for the first touchdown of the game and the only touchdown during the first quarter. Jonathan Wiseman scored the only touchdown in the second quarter with a one yard run; Mason Melby kicked the PAT, making the score 13-0.
Colstrip made their first touchdown during the third quarter, and the Spartans didn’t score again until the last quarter. During the fourth quarter, Colstrip scored first. Following their touchdown, the Spartans had Joe Fisher run six yards for their final touchdown for a score of 20-12.
Offensively, Joe Fisher had 17 rushes for 82 yards, Seth Barkley – 13 rushes for 67 yards, and Jonathan Wiseman – 23 rushes for 69 yards.
Defensively, Travis Koenig had 14 tackles, Chance Ehret 8 tackles, Joe Fisher 3 interceptions, Seth Barkley, Dallas Arnell and Jordan Walker each had one interception, Jeff Fisher – one fumble recovery.
