Baker alumni and NFL Atlanta Falcon player Shann Schillinger spent April 5 speaking to students of Baker schools. Schillinger had returned home to Baker over the Easter holiday to spend time with family members and friends who still reside in the area.
He also took time to give back to the community by talking to local students about a variety of topics. When addressing students at the high school, Schillinger addressed the importance of showing respect.
While talking to elementary students, in addition to covering important character-related topics, Schillinger also gave some of his youngest fans a heads-up on his jersey number change. Instead of sporting the beloved 39 that was a nod to the license plate number for Fallon County, Schillinger will now be wearing 29. His old number will be worn by the former St. Louis Ram running back Steven Jackson.
