Positive Choices: Get in the Loop

The 2012 Positive Choices Youth Conference will feature motivational speakers Garret Garrels and Nick Milodragovich, co-authors of “Loops 4 Life”, a book the now 25-year olds wrote about living a fulfilling life.

As football teammates at Carroll College, the two have experienced the excitement of being part of a national championship team, but they have also faced hard times and made some hard choices. The two have spoken nationally and internationally to audiences informing them about happiness, goal setting, and the importance of living a meaningful life.

Students grades 5-8 from Baker, Wibaux, Plevna, Marmarth and Ekalaka will attend the day long event Wednesday, October 3.

In addition to hearing the keynote speakers, students will get to attend workshops throughout the day including, Nutrition Around the World, Web Wisdom, Building Healthy Relationships, Why We Say No and various others focusing on character development.

The 17th annual Positive Choices Youth Conference committee members include Jessica Dinardi, Cathy Frye, Carol Hadley, Jamie Helm, Cindy Quade, Sharon Schwartz, and Jule Walker. ConocoPhillips, Fallon County Commissioners, and Bank of Baker are listed as the event’s major sponsors.
