“Spartans Rule the World” is the 2012 homecoming theme for Baker High School. Hall decorating will begin Sunday, Sept. 30, at 1:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 1, will be dress up day, and coronation will be held at 1:15 p.m. in McGonigal Gymnasium. That evening at 7:00 the annual powder puff game will be held.
Tuesday, Oct. 2, is “Twin Day”, and the Lady Spartans play the Dawson County Red Devils.
Wednesday, Oct. 3, is Duct Tape Day and Spirit Night will be held at 7:00 in McGonigal Gymnasium. Spirit poms, beads and leis will be available.
Thursday, Oct. 4, is Hawaiian Day and Friday, Oct. 5, is School Pride Day (wear maroon and gold). Friday evening the Spartans take on the Plentywood Wildcats at 7:00. Homecoming royalty will be introduced at half-time.
Saturday, Oct. 6, the Lady Spartans will play Lodge Grass and Broadus. Royalty will be introduced prior to the last varsity match.
The homecoming dance will conclude the week of activities and will be held in the new Longfellow Gym. Show your school spirit all week by participating in all these fun activities.
Homecoming candidates were selected by the student body this week. Queen candidates are Kyli Gentilini (Mike Gentilini and Luanne Gentilini), Christa Losing (Larry and Norma), Savannah Miller (Mike and Promise), and Mikenna O’Donnell (Vance and Kim). King candidates are Cole Junso (Kevin and Niki), Darin Scheetz (Ernie and Cindy), Ethan Taylor (Randy and Tana), and Duncan Wyrick (Bill and Debbie).
