First annual Lucas Meschke Broken Club Memorial Golf Scramble a huge success

What started out as a small scramble get-together in memory of Lucas, by word of mouth, grew into a 64 player event that will be continued annually.

What started out as a small scramble get-together in memory of Lucas, by word of mouth, grew into a 64 player event that will be continued annually.

The scramble was held at the Lakeview Country Club Sept. 22. The day also included a free will donation for the scholarship fund and a supper provided by Lucas’ family and friends and prepared by Julie Straub.

Lucas’ family is happy to “Pay It Forward” and use the money to fund the Lucas Meschke Memorial Scholarship for BHS students.

Prizes were awarded to: 1st place – Neal Susa, Jason Becker, Dustin Scheetz, Matt Junso; 2nd – Kevin Junso, Niki Junso, Cole Junso, Darin Scheetz; 3rd – Dale Newell, Kevin Newell, Curt Huether, Dale Hinton.

The 50/50 winner was Roy Tisdell who donated back to the scholarship fund and there were multiple pin prizes awarded and drawings for door prizes.
