Fall Festival committee member Karol Zachmann declared last Saturday’s Fall Festival a fun-filled day for herself, and she was pretty sure lots of other folks enjoyed the day as well. “The kettle corn smelled so good, I had it for breakfast,” Zachmann said.
The sawdust treasure hunt in a water tank was a huge hit that kept the kids busy for hours. Horse drawn wagon rides, and the return of fair-favorite, Pippi the Clown, brought lots of smiles for Fallon County’s youngest residents.
Between the pie contest, the chili cook-off, watermelon eating contest and tire toss, Zachmann never made it out of the blocked off area to enjoy the various fresh produce, homemade goods and direct sale stands that dotted area parking lots and filled the Epicenter Youth and Community Center.
“We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather. It was just a perfect day. Thanks to everyone who participated,” Zachmann concluded.
