Fresh off the Olympic success of the United States, the Plevna Elementary celebrated their achievements with an Olympics-style celebration. Over 30 students participated in the Sept. 14 activities to honor those who read over the summer, completing their reading goals. This party was based on the Olympics, five teams (or five countries) competed. The teams were Germany, Russia, China, Australia, and Great Britain.

The students played many Olympic-styled games such as the three-legged relays, bouncing a ping pong ball into a cup, dress up relays, and much much more. To finish up this fun party, Mrs. Tunby read a book about the Olympics and the young athletes enjoyed ice cream bars.
