Matthew Wiseman, age 25, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 21, 2012 at his home in Glendive. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor James Hageman officiating. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 31, 2012 in the Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker, Montana with Pastor Reba Kolasch officiating. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Matt was born on March 13, 1987 in Miles City, Montana, a son of Jeff and Sheila (Erlenbusch) Wiseman. He was raised and educated in Baker and Glendive. Matt graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive with the class of 2006. While Matt was in school he played baseball, football and was an outstanding wrestler. Following his graduation, Matt moved back to Baker where he worked various jobs in the oilfield and in construction. In 2010, Matt moved to Glendive where he continued working in the oilfield and construction industries. Matt favored working in construction; he especially enjoyed remodeling projects such as houses and garages.
Matt met and later married the love of his life, Kelsea Jensen on December 28, 2011 in Sidney, Montana, and to this union two daughters were born, Madalynn and Ashlynn. His daughters were his pride and joy and he cherished every moment spent with them. Matt was very involved in his daughters lives, he was an outstanding father, husband, son and brother. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his brothers, family and friends. Matt was always happy and a joy to be around. Matt will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Wiseman; paternal grandfather, Jim Wiseman and maternal grandfather, Johnny Schwindt.
Survivors include his wife, Kelsea Wiseman of Glendive; daughters, Madalynn and Ashlynn Wiseman both of Glendive; mother, Sheila Wiseman of Baker; brothers, Michael Wiseman of Glendive, Jonathan and James Wiseman both of Baker; maternal grandmother, Kathy Hopkins of Glendive; paternal grandmother, Lin Nicholson of Wibaux, Montana; father-in-law, Donnie Akers of Ronan, Montana; brother-in-law, Troy Akers of Ronan; sister-in-law, Aubrey Akers of Ronan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
