A funeral service for Earl Henry Barnard, 84, of Boise, Idaho was held Oct. 8, 2012 in Boise.

Earl passed away Sept. 30, 2012 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Earl Barnard was born Mar. 6, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Neal and Margueritte (Patthey) Barnard.

Dec. 18, 1949 Earl married Joy Putnam. Between 1953-1961 he became the proud father of four daughters.

In 1964, Earl was ordained into the Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. His graduation gift was his fifth daughter. He served the American Lutheran Church in Baker from 1968 – 1975.

In 1985 his wife, Joy, passed away.

Apr. 23, 1988, Earl married Sharon Tyronne. In 1992 he retired in Cody, Wyo.

Earl is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Barnard, of Boise, Idaho; children: Jackie (Verrill) Justice, St. George, Utah, Cherie (Greg) Huiner, Hettinger, N.D., Tina (Sherman) Engesser, Rapid City, S.D., Kelley Barnard, Tumwater, Wash., Gail Jorgensen, Boise, Idaho, Shawn (Brandi) Clokey, Corinth, Tex., Renee (Greg) Kindler, Draper, Utah, Shelly (Carlo) Anastasio, South Bend, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Barnard, and his parents, Neal and Margueritte Barnard.
