Morris (Morrie) Ehret, 81, passed away at the Rosewood Courte in Edmonds, Wash., Aug. 22, 2012. He was born July 30, 1931 in Plevna.

Morris (Morrie) Ehret, 81, passed away at the Rosewood Courte in Edmonds, Wash., Aug. 22, 2012. He was born July 30, 1931 in Plevna.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley (Arko); son Gary (Carolyn) Ehret; daughter Barbara (Peter) Ekern; grandsons Nicholas and Benjamin Ekern; two sisters, Gert Martinson and Delores Wellenstein; three brothers, Ervin, Lloyd and Marvin Ehret; numerous nieces and nephews.
He managed Leed’s Shoes at Northgate from 1966-1989. He was a partner in Brandel Construction from 1986 – 1995. He joined the Shriners at The Nile in 1994. He served as secretary-treasurer of the men’s golf club. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes, and golfing.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 12 p.m. at the Edgewood Baptist Church, 20406 76th Ave. W., Edmonds, WA.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
